All songs are skipping!!

I am playing songs on my computer, and when I listen to them they start to skip like if they were on a CD that was scratched, the problem is they are not. They are downloaded, I have never had this problem before and all the sudden I can hardly listen to them. I have no problem listening to the same songs on my iPhone with the Rhapsody app, but when I try to listen to them on my computer they skip it's very frustrating and I'm hoping someone can tell me what I can do.
