sad I’m confused

Configure Device?

I have a Sansa Fuze+ and now Rhapsody is telling me that i need to configure the device, but I can't figure out how. I've already tried to do the basic things like renew the track licenses, reauthorizing the computer and reauthorizing the device, but of course nothing is helping. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Hi Bev, please follow the steps mentioned below to configure the device:

    1. Eject the device and unplug it from the computer.
    2. On the device, push the Menu button.
    3. Go to Settings > USB.
    4. When you see 3 settings, MTP, Auto Detect and MSC, select MTP.

Me too. Fuze+ for some reason on its own as far as I know switched to MSC mode which is for standard data drives, & wont switch back by changing usb settings. Fortunately, still in warranty so exchanging at local Costco. May not be a Rhapsody issue but rather a hardware issue.
Also tried Sansa reformatting & reinstalling firmware but no dice. All devices break eventually but liked the Sansa so going to try another. That Fuze is one sharp looking machine.
For tech completeness, for heck of it, tried to install Rockbox after above failure as an alternative but it would not install using installer. Maybe I will go back & try a manual install this Sat. afternoon. Let you know what happens.

Turned out to be corrupted Windows MTP drivers. Clean install of XP Home fixed. Returned & exchanged a perfectly good Fuze apparently. Feeling kinda bad about that . . . but it will pass.
