Internet Explorer Script Error keeps popping up.
I recently downloaded 4.0 Rhapsody client and am getting scripting errors. I am running on IE8 on XP. The first error is 'TypeAheadMgr' is undefined when typing in the search box. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

bradmelendy June 24, 2010 17:56I still get an error every time a page loads and I must confirm if I want to continue to process scripts on the page. re-registering jscript.dll did not help. Is there no way to tell Rhapsody NOT to pop such errors up? IE is configured NOT to display script errors and script debugging has been disabled so I don't get any alerts from IE, only from Rhapsody. :-(EditDeleteRemove

I started using the rhapsody website instead of the rhapsody software to listen to music. For the most part, it's just as good, no need for the rhapsody software at all. :-)

No link here, this just links back to the FAQ. I'd really like to learn how to fix this, Rhapsody is just broken now for finding and adding music.

When starting thte rhapsody program, I get a CONSTANT script error "an error has occured in the script on this page 'TypeAheadMgr' is underfined.
What's worse, this link I'm led to from rhapsody chat window leads to a page that says follow these instuctions given in the link to resolve this proble.
THEN THE LINK ON THIS PAGE DOES NOT LEAD TO ANY SUCH SOLUTION!!!!-
Hi Kevin, script errors in Rhapsody are most commonly caused by internet security software. If you are using Norton Internet Security you can disable advertisement blocking or configure it to allow advertisements from rhapsody and listen. Contact Norton for more information. For additional troubleshooting steps, check the link http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=30... Thanks!

I use malwarebytes, and AVG I turned them off along with the windows firewall. No difference.
I've spent hours with Rhapsody tech support on Friday. No solution
Then for some reason Saturday the script errors stopped and it worked like it was supposed to. As if something got fixed on rhapsody's end.
Then it started again on Sunday.
Pretty frustrating. So here I am with an unusable program. -

I keep getting "Error in loading DLL" messages. It pops up about 6 times before finally loading a page. If I want to type in a search, after each letter I get another error message saying "ajax request is nul or not an object. If I want to switch pages, I have to click through multiples of these script errors. Help me get this straight, or refund my money due to lack of service. Thanks.

Same problem here. Constant messages that an error has occured in the script on this page. They start up before the Rhapsody player even loads fully and persist every time I type something. I can no longer even see the full front screen. This issue started out of the blue after using Rhapsody for years and I haven't added security software. What do I need to do to stop it?

Apparently Rhapsody has no solution to this issue. Uninstalled Malwarebytes AND rolled my laptop back 2 days.....still getting the script error. How do you get rid of this?????

Try searching for mdm.exe on your hard drive and renaming it to something else so IE can't find it. That worked on my XP SP3 box.
