Invalid zip file from Rhapsody MP3 Store
Hello. I downloaded a zip file of 17 songs from the Rhapsody MP3 Store. The download completed, but when I click on the .zip file, I am told the file is invalid. Under My Downloads, I have no option to re-download the files. How can I get my music? I paid over $20 for nothing.

1Hi, I'm sorry it happened. So I have provided a credit in your account so that you can buy the tracks again. After the purchase, select "Save" when prompted. -

I don't have a solution to this problem, but may have a work-around. On 4 successive tries to download an album, the download terminated after approximately 16 MB resulting in a corrupt ZIP file. I was able to get most of the songs from the album by limiting each download to 3 tracks. I say "most of the songs", because one 3 track download exceeded 16 MB, and the ZIP file was corrupt. However, on the My Downloads list, the check box was removed from those 3 tracks as if the download had been successful.
Compared to the Download Manager, this ZIP file system really sucks. -

ok , I had some luck . It seems that windows can't download big zip files . So , what I did was , downloaded only four songs at a time . Then I save them instead of run on download screen . I then just went into the start menu , recent items , there they were . Just save to whatever file you want from there . I wish everyone luck .

I've had the same problem. First, I tried downloading an album and four songs totaling $15.00 and had to cancel the download because I needed to free up space. Then, after being on the phone with customer support for 45 minutes (!!!!) they issued me a credit to try it again. After trying again, the zip file won't open! It says it is "invalid or corrupt" and I can't extract any files. I'm so frustrated!! I'm a music teacher and need these songs for a class I'm teaching tomorrow!

I have this problem, too. In fact it happened twice so I went back and bought the mp3s again so I've paid for music twice that I can't use. I read the solution that suggested you only download a few songs at a time but I purchased an album with several songs so it would be a lot more money to buy each one individually.

Hello. I'm having the same problem. I decided to try d/l one song at a time, and did ok, then tried two and it worked. I had four songs left, and decided to try to d/l the four of them together, but I'm getting the Zip error and now it tells says I've d/l everything so I can't go back and d/l the last four. Help?

I don't see how the link George W posted helps. The Songs are not able to be downloaded again in the download manager. Waste of money...

When I try to extract my files, I get this message:
Windows cannot open the folder.
Compressed folder 'C:/.....' is invalid.
Is there nothing I can do?? I am very upset. I want my music!
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Invalid folder. Cannot extract my files!. -

I just purchased and downloaded 11 songs and received the same zip file mssg.
Seems there is a problem with getting this music, however there is no problem with charging my credit card.
What is my solution?-
It's been a few days now, my credit card was charged, but I didn't receive my songs. What do I do now?

Out of 29 songs purchased, 15 of them were in invalid files (I attempted to download 3 songs at a time and the files wouldn't open, yet were removed from my download list as if they were fine). That's a 51% failure rate! MORE than HALF FAILED! WHY is this issue continuing to happen a YEAR after it has been brought to your attention? Even after I finally found a way to download the 14 songs I was able to get, I feel completely ripped off by this whole mess. This has certainly left a rotten taste in my mouth.

Your purchase is complete, but your music didn't download. Please go to My Downloads to get your music.
The zip file would not open. Thanks for your help. Will you issue a credit for those songs? Thanks.
