I'd like you add the capability of downloading albums, as I don't use playlists...
-
I would like to see a shuffle all option for my entire library, so I can just press it and listen to everything without creating playlists, or hand selecting songs.
-
Congrats on the release!!!! Love it!
Requests:
- Make shuffle mode and repeat all mode directly accessible on the queue list or on the "now playing" screen.
- Direct downloads to the real external card on the Samsung Captivate, not the phone's internal card (and I suspect all other Galaxy S phones such as the Vibrant, Fascinate, etc)
- Speed up the Search on My Library, and also make it work right. I search for Albums that I have in My Library, and it doesn't find them (searching with partial name, i.e. beginning with...)
- Ability to cache Channels/Radio, like on the RhapPFS players
- Allow a quick way to see how much space offline downloads are taking up
- Some type of ability to play our own mp3s inside the Rhapsody app. Lots of complexity here in terms managing tracks/lists, but I'd be fine with some kind of basic capability. (really deserves a separate detailed post).
Liking the app :)-
Mike November 20, 2010 15:25I have the same problem with Samsung Galaxy Tab. Music is stored on the phone memory, should go to my sd card instead, or at least the option.EditDeleteRemove

I love all the new changes. The one feature that I would love to see added is google voice actions added. I've seen this feature on another song app. You just hit the google voice button, and say the name of the band or song that you want and it instantly starts playing.

The new version is great. Appreciate all the work.
Features is like to see:
1)Offline playback for albums! I was stunned playlists got download support before albums / tracks, especially since I hardly use playlists.
2) Higher quality bit rate on downloads. With download support now, Im less dependent on network streaming performance.
3) Sound equalizer - I listen all the time in the car on my stereo. anything to bring some bass boost would help tremendously. -

Okay,,,I'm from the old school...Back when the Sansa E280 was the best thing out. So the amalgamation of an MP3 player and a smart phone into one machine is still a bonus for me.
And since I've been with Rhapsody for at least 4 years, I suppose you could say that I really dig Rhapsody!
1. My phone wont find and play non-Rhapsody tracks in the Rhapsody ap. That's kinda whacked, man! I've got some tracks on my smart card that I cant find on Rhapsody that would be great in the mix. The Sansas could handle this with no problem.
2. A crossfader would be cool. In fact, it really should be standard. It would really enhance the listening experience not to have gaps in between tracks.
3. An EQ is a must have.
4. Keep up the good work! -
-
Another vote for an EQ setting like on your PC app.
EQ Presets are fine. -

First, let me say THANK YOU for making downloads work. My Droid2 w/Rhapsody was basically useless in streaming mode. Last night I used it for my spinning workout and it was flawless. Yipee!
So, here's another vote for higher bitrate downloads. I have a buttload of memory in my Droid and I'm starting to use it in my truck with a pretty decent sound system. It'd be nice if we could get 192 with an option of 320.-
Ok, now I take back my praise. With the latest update I (once again) cannot get consistent play where I have low coverage. I can barely get one song in my playlist to play, it skips over about half the songs without even starting, and once it starts playing, it dies intermittently. About half the time I do a "force close" and the other times I report it.
Basically, I've given up. I'm not sure I'm going to keep my Rhapsody subscription (that I've had for >3 years) Although my wife likes her Sansa clip, she's getting an ipad for Christmas, so maybe it's time to go with itunes.
What a bummer. -

+1. This is my #1 wish at the moment.

Higher bit rate for offline tracks is number 1. The sooner the better. Also a shuffle all button would be nice to.
-
-
1) Integration with other mp3 files on the device so that I can use Rhapsody to play all my music.
2) Download separate tracks and albums.
3) Equalizer would be nice.
4) Another vote for higher bit rate tracks. -

1. I would like to see a shuffle all option for my entire library.
2. Integration with other mp3 files on the device so that I can use Rhapsody to play all my music.
3. A larger Widget so I can make one entire screen my player (like Grooveshark). -
-
1) Download by album/track
2) Equalizer
3) Higher bit-rate tracks -
-
1) Scrobbling to Last.fm
2) Higher quality audio
3) Larger album art
4) Better queue management
5) Option on the home screen for "My Mix" that automatically starts playing music from my library + recommended music based on listening history -
-
1) Have a sleep timer mode where Rhapsody plays for "X" minutes and then turns off
2) Show the album of the track currently playing.
3) Remember place in queue now playing when exit from rhapsody or drop wifi.-
Also, allow ability to rate tracks on the app.

1. Shuffle All when you click on Menu.
2. Oversall more intuit interface
3. Widget for Android pages
4. Ability to be home page when phone times out -
-
I agree with all of the above. Especially shuffle and repeat buttons. Widget and larger album art.

As a long time Rhapsody user but who just upgraded to the Android app this Christmas... here are a few suggestions:
1) Download by album/track (I see others have this)
2) When creating and adding tracks to a playlist allow multiple selections so I don't have to keep going back and forth to a specific artist
3) 'Cache' or add some improvements on understanding my playlist so as I go back and forth managing it that it works faster. It seems to have to go back to retrieve my list of playlists each time. -

I want to be able download tracks or albums, not just playlists, and in offline mode I want to be able to search by artist, track, genre, album, OR playlist. Just like I used to be able to do on my MP3 player before I switched to using my phone.
-
After using Rhapsody for a while now, I realize that this is a bad idea (at least when it comes to phones). We are not yet at the stage were our phones have 100's of gigabytes worth of storage. If you have the ability to download albums, and as your library grows, it will be harder to manage space in the long run. Believe, it doesn't take that long to fill up phone memory.

A shuffle all feature that plays my entire library would be great. Also, it would be nice to download specific tracks instead of only being able to download playlists.

Hi Jason,
A shuffle library feature is in our backlog. Not sure when we will be able to work on it yet, but we do know about it.
Downloaded tracks and albums is something that we are working on right now, so we will be having that released in the future.
Which list of Artists is loading slowly? The Library Artist screen? Charts? Are you using a mobile phone or a tablet? Usually we only load 20 items at a time to reduce the time it takes. I can check it out if you let me know where you are seeing this.
Thanks!

Cindy,
It's the Library Artist screen. I see that you pull 20 artists at a time. Each time I reach the bottom of the list, it can take 5-7 seconds for the next batch to come through. I use an Evo 4G from Sprint. Sprint's 3G is notoriously slow. It is quicker over Wi-Fi, but there is still about a 2-3 second delay. I don't think this is a very intensive process. Not sure why it would take so long.

1) allow for rating artists/albums/tracks in the app
2) make it easier to scroll thru a long playlist or now playing list -

When will offline mode for Android be comparable to iPhone? I am a long-standing rhapsody user and am cry frustratd that I can only download playlists for offline listening on Android when iPhone users are also able to download Artists and Albums for offline listening. When everyone else was using iTunes, Your loyal subscribers were using Rhapsody. So why are you providing a better app to Apple subscribers than to Android? Can we expect offline albums and artists access on Android anytime soon or should I buy an iPhone and switch from a rhapsody to Spotify?

I totally agree about being able to download Artists and Albums. I have been with Rhapsody for over six years now and was so excited to upgrade from my 8gb Ipod Touch to an android device with 64gb of space only to find this feature is not available in the Android version. I am a loyal customer and don't have any plans to drop my Rhapsody subscription as of now but I really can't stress enough how much I want this feature on my shiny new device that has really lost some of it's luster because of this bad news. Thank you for your time.

1Hi Jonathan, Andrew and other Android customers interested in this feature:
We're happy to report we are nearing completion of this feature. Check this forum for news of our beta testing program coming soon. We appreciate your patience as we've been working hard to deliver album and track downloading.
Regarding the Spotify comment, please note that they made the same implementation choice as us, to offer playlist downloading for quicker time to market with a smaller feature set. In their latest Android update it does not look like they have augmented this functionality, whereas we will be offering album and track downloads very soon.
Thanks,
Chris -

Rhapsody is so well put together that I can't really think of a whole lot of things you can add (for my tastes). However, I do have one annoyance; we do not have the ability to store music downloads to external memory. Not everyone uses a iTouch, I have a Galaxy 2, which I love, but the internal memory is much too small to download a lot of Rhapsody music. We need the option to choose to store music in or secondary storage card. As far as I'm concerned, this should have been a priority. Or at least allow programs like "App 2 SD" to move the music, or the entire core application if possible to or expanded memory card. You can't expect to get more serious music lovers to purchase Rhapsody, if you continue to only have everything housed in embedded memory of a phone.
The second priority would be better PlayList management. Occasionally, when I download playlists from Rhapsody, I may like them so much that I'd like to protect them for accidental deletion. It also would be cool to have sub playlist categories for better management.
Thirdly, to be able to create radio stations on my phone, and not just use the PC software to do it.
Thanks,

I got a Samsung Galaxy S III and I downloaded Rhapsody. I'm getting frustrated trying to figure out how to just shuffle songs in my playlist. I went to settings and checked shuffle playback but it still doesn't shuffle. This Rhapsody app is hard to use.

If you go to your settings, there is a "shuffle playback" option.
