Sorting the new catalog listings vs genres / dates / artist name ...

What I like to see (if you one can add modules to Rhapsody.exe during updates) Is when anything new or reissued thats added to the rhapsody catalog no matter the genre can be sorted and viewed in those genres. ie Under "BROWSE" and in any category. "just added 08/08/2012" 7 albums, with 3 going to rock (New), 1 to country (Staff pick), 1 to Classical (Just Added) and 1 to EZ Listening (Exclusive). No matter which 4 you pick, you can see to which genre has new listings..

I have to check with Allmusic.com (new released link) first to see whats listed and then go looking here if it is.

So... this is how it'll work:

"Say, I wonder whats "JUST ADDED" in the Jazz category?"

I pick "Just Added" and select genre and takes me to another menu and can pick any genres I want to look at, I'll get everything thats "JUST ADDED" to jazz and nothing else. And then I can select dates and to see what I missed, and or by artist if theres more then a few pages worth. *see image below* And don't worry about sub-genres.. that would take forever there's 19 genres listed, keep it at that.

I just checked to make sure I wasn't missing anything and "JUST ADDED" has them by date and by name... but NOT by genre.. New, Staff and Exclusive after "SEE MORE" doesnt, in fact you cant sort them by anything at all.. going through 500 pages just to find the selection that one is looking for doesn't make sense at all...

This needs to change... and I'm more then positive this will greatly help those (like me) in finding only what genres people are looking for when they click the 4 choices in "BROWSE" . Yes typing the artist in is a direct way, but typing everybody your looking for (if your musical taste is only in one genre or not) you'll will end up with writers cramps. You don't have everything and something will sneak by if your not on it all the time.

There's something like that at the bottom when one selects an artist as in "JUST ADDED" and its not complete, but mostly its "similar artist".. not the same thing..



This wont be a easy task to change this... artist /catalog / links after artist / catalog / links in the way I described above... no clue if one can do it batches. But if this happens I wont expect this to show for several months... at best.. like I said this wont be easy... Good luck.
