I happily used Napster for years and bought plenty of music without a single issue. When I got a new computer I couldn't remember my account information because my old computer logged me in automatically for years. I can't access my bought and payed for music and at one time I called support and the not so good at speaking English guy told me "he could not help me at this time."
How does make me feel? Robbed, Maybe I should have got the music off of lime wire like other people where doing instead of paying for it like I did. I would love to listen to all the songs I payed for. -

Hi Brian,
If you bought the music before 2008, you're out of luck. Before 2008, all the digital music stores sold music with a DRM license in it. This license had to be verified every time the music was played or burned to CD. If you moved the music files to a new computer, that computer had to be "authorized" and the license renewed before you could play it. But now, all the servers that renew those licenses have been shut down, and there's no way to renew the licenses.
I always thought it was wrong to say that people "bought" this music, since it was still tethered to the company you bought it from.
If you bought the songs more recently, then you're ok. They are mp3 files with no DRM. They will play on any computer or device. -
